Sunflower

This sculpture is inspired by my roots. The Sunflower is a symbol of Ukraine, representing its beauty and strong will. Strong stem, majestic leaves and the flower always following the Sun is a perfect embodiment of the strong character of Ukrainian people, fighting for the freedom of their country.

Pyrography on a base made out of reclaimed wood represents the scars, left by the war on the beautiful land, and unquenchable will to prevail over the obstacles.
